Under general supervision provides leadership and coordinates the operations of the admissions office in the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Essential Duties Summary

• Coordinates the daily operations of the Law School admissions office including; monitoring of applicant records for completion of requirements for evaluation, conduct evaluation, advisement of potential and actual applicants, processing of admissions applications, electronic and paper correspondence as well as telephone contacts with potential applicants and applicants, and supervising the filing and updating of data provided by the Law School Data Assembly Service.
• Participates with the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions, and the Dean, in the drafting of a multi-faceted recruitment plan.
• Assists in marketing law school programs to prospective applicants.
• Coordinates, when activated, the admissions interview process which may include student file review, telephone interviews, application of eligibility criteria for remote or campus interview, and documentation of interviews conducted by the admissions committee.
• Performs task required to create an effective collaboration between the Office of the Dean and the Law School’s Admissions Committee in proposing and reviewing admission criteria, guidelines, and policies for the consideration of the Law School faculty.
• Prepares admissions-related reports for internal use and external reviewers.
• Processes and e-mails admission decision letters.
• Serves as a Customer Service Representative for potential applicants, applicants, and accepted admission candidates who are deciding or have decided to enroll at the School of Law.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range $38,022.00 - $45,626.00 Education

Work Experience

One (1) to three (3) years of specialized or technical training experience in admissions operations, preferably in law school-related admissions operations. Knowledge of or experience working with ACES2 and Banner is also preferred.
