Position Summary:

The Griep lab in the Department of Cell and Regenerative Biology in the School of Medicine and Public Health uses genetically engineered mouse strains to study the molecular basis of eye development. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is passionate about research. The individual will work under the daily guidance of the PI and will be involved in all aspects of the laboratory operations.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, genetics or related field required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

A minimum six months working in a research lab is required. Experience with basic molecular biology skills such as PCR and electrophoresis is required. Experience with imaging techniques and mouse husbandry is preferred. Candidates must be comfortable working with mice. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
