Description

The Department of CICS has a full-time tenure track position available beginning January 2021. Primary responsibilities include teaching technical courses in classroom, immersive learning, and online format; development, research; and service to the department and community.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate field (computer science, engineering/engineering technology, information systems) from an accredited institution. At least ten years of technology-related professional experience OR five years of technology-related academic experience with at least five years of technology-related experience in industry. Qualify for graduate faculty status at the rank of assistant/associate professor as demonstrated by required experience.

Authorization to work in the US

Employer will consider sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess a terminal degree in an appropriate field from an accredited institution. Relevant business and technical experience and demonstrated applied research in academic or industry; emphasis on current technologies including cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and/or programming ( PHP, Python, Kubernetes, Docker), AI/ML. Ability to manage multiple projects within and outside of classroom environment; ability to provide advising and career development for a diverse graduate student population; ability to qualify for graduate faculty status at the rank of assistant/associate professor. A history of leadership in either higher education or industry at a senior level; current technical or related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, PMP ).
