Job Purpose

Translational research lab is seeking a highly motivated and responsible Research Technician. Daily work includes receiving, registering and processing blood samples. Collected plasma and PBMC need to be cryopreserved for different tests. The technician will perform DNA extraction, QPCR, ELISPOT and immuno phenotyping for indicated samples. Good candidate should be meticulous and have good planning and communication skills.

Job Duties
  • Isolation and cryopreservation of mononuclear cells from peripheral blood samples.
  • Register samples in laboratory databases for storage and further testing.
  • Provide requested samples to other lab members.
  • Extract DNA and QPCR.
  • ELISPOT and staining for flowcytometry.
  • Submission of data to PIs.
  • Maintain lab equipment and supplies inventory.
  • Document of the results and preparing them for presentation.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Experience Required: None Required.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
