Postdoctoral Associate



Summary

Ideal candidate will have expertise in vivo animal (mice, especially neonatal mice) experimentation and familiarity with bench work techniques including molecular biology (including plasmid construction, cloning etc), immunohistochemistry, cell culture (including isolation of primary cells from the lung), advanced imaging techniques (including confocal, immunocytochemistry) and data analysis.

Job Duties
  • Assist with the core research in the lab with a collaborative attitude
  • In vivo animal (mice, especially neonatal mice) experimentation
  • Utilize lab techniques including molecular biology (including plasmid construction, cloning etc), immunohistochemistry
  • Perform cell culture (including isolation of primary cells from the lung), advanced imaging techniques (including confocal, immunocytochemistry) and data analysis
  • Flow cytometry (cell sorting and culture)
  • Assist with writing and statistical data analysis
  • Perform surgical procedures (in neonatal mice like lung perfusion and bronchoalveolar lavage)


Minimum Qualifications
  • MD or PhD in developmental biology, translational biology or molecular and cell biology.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in flow cytometry (cell sorting and culture).
  • Proven writing ability and statistical data analysis skills will be considered favorably.
  • Experience with surgical procedures (in neonatal mice like lung perfusion and bronchoalveolar lavage).
