Job Summary
We are encouraging applications for a Postdoctoral Associate for an experimental position with the goal of developing compact instruments using laser-cooled atoms to join our outstanding team with the Professional Research Experience Program (PREP).

Who We Are
The Professional Research Experience Program (PREP) is a special partnership between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the University of Colorado Boulder. PREP provides research opportunities to CU undergraduate and graduate students, as well as researchers with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in NIST labs to gain research experience alongside NIST scientists.
The particular group that needs a researcher is the Atomic Devices & Instrumentation Group under the Time and Frequency Division at NIST.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Carry out optics experiments in the laboratory.
- Analyze data.
- Write research papers.
- Present work at conferences.

Ph.D. in atomic physics or related field.
