Job Summary
The Quantum Nanophotonics Group in the Applied Physics Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado, has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher in the area of experimental semiconductor lasers and integrated photonics.

Who We Are
The Professional Research Experience Program (PREP) is a special partnership between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the University of Colorado Boulder. PREP provides research opportunities to CU undergraduate and graduate students, as well as researchers with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in NIST labs to gain research experience alongside NIST scientists.
The particular group that needs a researcher is the Quantum Nanophotonics Group under the Applied Physics Division at NIST.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Design, model, fabricate and measure narrow-linewidth semiconductor lasers integrated with nonlinear optics.

What We Require
- Ph.D. in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Experience with the optical characterization of semiconductor lasers or other optoelectronic devices.
- Strong publication record.
- Programming skills with Matlab and/or Python.
