Objective
Work closely with the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches to help to teach, mentor and monitor the young men/women involved in the Blinn athletic program.
Essential Duties
Assist the coach(s) in practice, games or events.
Ability to travel with the team and/or coaching staff to games, events and recruitment.
Assist in the supervision of extra-curricular activities.
Compiles sports information, including but not limited to statistics and reporting, as assigned.
Assists with promotions and marketing of the Blinn College athletic program.
Helps maintain the athletic equipment and facilities.
Assists with scouting, recruiting and other work related duties.
Attend all required meetings with Athletic Director.
Assist in supervising the strength and conditioning program.
Assist in the supervision of the Colleges residence halls and dining hall.
Adhere to all Blinn College policies and procedures.
Adhere to all NJCAA rules and regulations.
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or relevant certification.
Some experience in assisting in the assigned sport.
Ability to effectively motivate, teach, and supervise students.
Ability to maintain a professional relationship with students and peers.
Ability to fully comply with NJCAA rules and regulations.
Ability to fully comply with Blinn College policies and procedures.
Current driver’s license.
Preferred Experience and Training
Enrollment in an accredited graduate degree program throughout the period of employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Health or Kinesiology from an accredited college or university or relevant certification.
Coaching experience at the Junior College, University or High School level.
Coaching experience with the defensive line.
Knowledge of the Southwest Junior College Football Conference rules and regulations
Teaching experience.

Special Notes To Applicants
With correct credentials that meet SACS requirements, there is an option to teach two kinesiology activity courses or 10 hours per week of activities as assigned by the Division each semester.

This is an 12 month position with the month of June or July off, depending on the needs of the sport and head coach.
This is a 12 month, benefits eligible position. Blinn College pays 100% of health insurance for full time employees, 50% for dependents, and two times your annual salary in life insurance benefits. Optional coverages can begin on your first active duty date. Leave time includes 96 hours vacation, 40 hours discretionary and 16 hours personal each year and 8 hours sick each month. Paid leave for college designated holiday’s, spring break, Thanksgiving and Christmas break (approx. 25 days per year)
