Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities

This position will provide administrative support for the CENC - LIMBIC grant by working with the Principal Investigator as well as internal and external stakeholders to assist the day-to-day administration of the project. A key component will be interfacing with multiple consortia members as well as internal staff and investigators. The incumbent is required to facilitate and participate in a variety of CENC - LIMBIC support activities, including developing and posting materials on the project website, maintaining databases, uploading content into databases, managing and maintaining project listserv(s), event/meeting planning and administration, and coordinating the collection and dissemination of information. Will also assist with project data collection, travel, and miscellaneous research related tasks to include literature searches and manuscript and grant preparation.

Minimum Hiring Standards

Required: Knowledge of administrative assistant tasks and website updates. Experience using email. Demonstrated excellence of computer skills using Microsoft Office, oral and written communication skills, and ability to be precise, thorough, reliable and perform daily tasks with minimal supervision. Demonstrated effective problem solving and time management skills including ability to adapt to frequent changes in work assignments, prioritize, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines. Ability to work in a diverse environment is required. Must have transportation that provides for timely travel between Richmond VAMC and MCV Campus.

Preferred Hiring Standards

Preferred standards include: certification in neuropsychology testing; a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent, applicable combination of training, education, or experience including experience working in university setting; familiarity with research, medical, and rehabilitation terminology.

Required Licenses/ Certifications

Maintain current CITI credentials for Human Subjects Protections, Good Clinical Practice ( GCP ), Clinical Research Coordinator, plus additional sponsor GCP certifications as required.
