Job Summary
The Lead Programmer/Analyst provides a wide variety of highly technical duties including responsibility for the administration of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The Lead Programmer/Analyst provides a wide variety of highly technical duties including responsibility for the administration of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, interfaces, design & development of programs. Assists the Director of Student Systems in the supervision of the PeopleSoft programming team. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of project plans and overseeing the successful completion of technical CMS projects in Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Administrative Systems, Student Services, and Student Records. Each project plan will include the project plan detail, communication, reporting, training and documentation for end users.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Possesses a deep understanding of Student Administration data
and processes as well as the available options for technical
support and enhancements.
- A high level of proficiency in SQL, SQR, PeopleCode,
PeopleTools and debugging in multi-tier, distributed architecture
is required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft products, especially Student
Administration is required. Working knowledge of the UNIX
environment is preferred. Demonstrated ability to learn and support
peripheral Student Administration applications is required.
Demonstrated ability to work with technical and functional peers
and to share knowledge is required.
- Ability to manage complex projects using knowledge of project
management methodology and tools, strategic planning, and workload
management.
- Ability to direct multiple simultaneous projects of a diverse
nature.
- Ability to anticipate changes in project deliverables and
timing, and ability to take necessary steps to mitigate
risk.
- Strong ability to communicate complex topics in writing and in
meetings.
- Thorough working knowledge of the entire Microsoft suite,
including Project.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration among a team with diverse
skills.
- Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally
diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university
policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to
safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination
policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive
university experience for each and every student, and assist in
achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of
excellence."
Education and Experience
A four year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or similar degree is required plus five years of related experience required. At least two years of Project Management experience required.

Compensation
The targeted salary may be set as high as $9,166 per month based on experience. The salary range for this classification is $6,249 to $12,100 per month.
