Position Summary:
The Web Development and Database Specialist designs, implements, administers technology and database solutions for the Training Resource Center. The Web Development and Database Specialist is expected to use technology to problem solve and meet objectives to enhance training capabilities as outlined by stakeholders and project administrators in the area of online learning.


Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree is required.


Minimum Experience:
1 year of database administration and application development experience is preferred.

Required Knowledge
Working knowledge of:
• Windows, Linux, and Apple operating systems
• User and file permissions in Windows
• Windows Server 2012R2
• FileMaker Pro
• OpenXML
• Microsoft InfoPath
Proficiency with:
• Microsoft Access
• .NET programming languages (VB and C#)
• JavaScript, and CSS
• Database administration and design with, MySQL, SQL Server
• XML programming Web Services with SOAP and PEAR programming
Desired Knowledge or Proficiency:
• Working knowledge of content management systems such as Drupal and WordPress
• Internet browser developer tools
• Learning Management System Administration such as Blackboard, Canvas, or Moodle
• SCORM Compliant e-Learning
