Job Purpose
We are seeking a research coordinator interested in community health and well-being. The coordinator should be detail-oriented, have strong written communication skills, an open-mind, and self-directed. The research coordinator manages the day-to-day activities of research protocols which include screening, enrollment, and monitoring of research participants. The coordinator will ensure accurate data collection, documentation, organization and safety of research participants. The research coordinator will work on a small team investigating opportunities to improve health equity through social determinants of health. Research coordinator will be working with principal investigator and a data analyst. The coordinator will be managing at least two projects and assist with several papers for publication.
Job Duties
- Conducts literature reviews
- Assists with data analysis
- Prepares materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations
- Prepares materials for Baylor Institutional Review Board and VA e-VACS
- Coordinates meetings with community parnters
- Reads and revises portions of research papers and grants
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Background or interest in public health
- One year of research coordination experience including
preparation of IRB protocols, amendments, and
renewals - Strong, clear communication skills are essential
