Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Prescott, College of Aviation, invites applications for the full time Air Traffic Control Laboratory Manager, in support of our B.S degree in Air Traffic Management.
Air Traffic Lab Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing continuous technical simulation support for the Air Traffic Management and limited support for the Aeronautical Science programs. The Air Traffic Control (ATC) lab and Airway Sciences (AS) lab requires the lab manager technician to build and update scenarios, maintain complex hardware and software equipment, and to be available as needed for technical support. The lab manager will assist professors with the technical and pedagogical aspects of in class simulation operations and will oversee Open Lab Hours and all other air traffic control activities conducted in the lab.
Qualifications :
The Selected Candidate must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Air Traffic Management or a technical related field and a proven record of previous related work and management experience is highly desirable. The selected candidate must be familiar with Metacraft Simsuite, which is the latest version of the air traffic control (ATC) simulation software, including the editing features and .xml files used to configure the programs appropriately. The selected candidate must be knowledgeable with Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D, and how both Metacraft SimSuite links and works simultaneously with Prepar3D software. In addition to this, the selected candidate must be well versed with air traffic control procedures, the Federal Aviation Administration's Collegiate Training Initiative Program and the Universities responsibilities associated with the program, possess high levels of organization and have the ability to learn quickly.
