Supervisor, Insurance Verification

Job Purpose

The Supervisor of Insurance Verification will manage the day to day operations of the infusion insurance verification process to financially clear patients for upcoming services. The supervisor will assign work and measure employee productivity in addition to recruiting new employees for open positions. This position will manage the insurance verification process to verify medical benefits for patients.

Job Duties

• Manages the insurance verification process to verify medical benefits and financially clear patients.
• Delegates patient appointments to team to verify insurance benefits prior to patient visit.
• Evaluates workflow while developing plans to meet department goals.
• Analyzes and develops daily strategies to ensure patient needs are met.
• Supervises insurance verification staff.
• Interviews, hires, disciplines, completes performance evaluations and provides guidance and feedback to employees.
• Ensures policies and procedures are understood and followed by staff.
• Sets goals and objectives for employees.
• Analyzes patient WQ's to find trend issues and makes suggestions to bring issue to resolution.
• Reviews reports for trends and researches denials.
• Attends leadership meetings as requested.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Epic experience
• Infusion experience and general specialty service benefits and authorization experience
• Team Lead or supervisory experience
