Summary

The Baylor College of Medicine Environmental Health Service (BCM EHS) is seeking a clinical research coordinator to work on a research study that aims to assess the long-term impact of Hurricane Harvey on a vulnerable population of African-American adults with poorly controlled asthma. The coordinator will assist with study screening, enrollment, phone-based data collection, and information dissemination. This is a part-time, temporary position that will end by February 28, 2021.

Job Purpose

Assists study subjects with navigation of study process. Provides general administrative support to project team.

Job Duties

• Calls potential research participants to verify their interest in enrolling in a research study, and to screen them for eligibility.
• Completes phone-based or electronic informed consent process.
• Schedules appointments for phone-based study visits.
• Completes scripted phone calls for data collection.
• Documents phone calls in Clinical Trials Management System.
• Attends research team meetings.
• Assists with preparation of manuscripts.
• Provides research administrative or technical support.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • No experience required.
