Position Summary:

The Department of Medical Sciences of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a part-time Clinical Instructor in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

Principal Duties:

Duties to include, but not limited to: TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. 17-20 weeks of clinical service in Small Animal Internal Medicine; includes clinical teaching to professional students, residents and interns.

2. Didactic and laboratory teaching of pre-clinical veterinary medicine students.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Involvement in continuing education programs for veterinary practitioners in the State of Wisconsin.

RESEARCH RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collaborative clinical research opportunities available to interested candidates.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

DVM (or equivalent) required; Must be board certified or eligible in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine with the specialty of Small Animal Internal Medicine.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Some academic experience preferred.

License or Certificate:

Eligible to obtain licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Wisconsin.
