Job Summary

The Assistant Professor, Health Occupations is responsible for facilitating class, lab, and clinical instruction of high school and adult Health Occupations students during fall, summer, and spring semesters.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Current RN license in Kansas or the qualifications to attain Kansas licensure
Certified Nurse Assistant Instructor Number
Excellent communication skills
Minimum of two years clinical experience
Continuing education about person-centered care
Certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant Instructor or the the qualifications to gain certification; 1750 hours minimum as a nurse in long term care and two years of nursing experience
Experience in supervision of CNAs and LPNs.
Experience or education in adult education

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing
Knowledge of learning management software (Canvas)
Five years of clinical experience
Previous higher education experience
