Religion Faculty – School of Humanities and Social Sciences

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Booth University College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to teach and lead our growing, collaborative department. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the area of New Testament Studies. Qualified candidates must also have the ability and willingness to teach broadly, especially within the Christian religion.

We seek candidates qualified to teach foundational, undergraduate courses in New Testament, Old Testament, Theology, and the History of Christian Thought. The successful candidate will teach a section of REL100 (Introduction to Christianity) as part of the core curriculum of the institution.  Candidates will also be expected to teach cadets for Salvation Army officership.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies, a sound understanding of Salvation Army theology and mission, and must be a member in good standing of The Salvation Army.

Preference will be given to candidates who have post-secondary teaching experience. A satisfactory Criminal Record Check certificate must be provided. The successful applicant must have an active Christian faith and commitment to the integration of faith and learning in a Christian university-level setting.
