Position Summary:

This position will serve as a key member of Dr Channa's research team. Dr Channa's research is focused on leveraging retinal imaging and genetics datasets to study novel pathways involved in vision loss from diabetic retinopathy, the leading cause of vision loss among working-aged adults.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required; degree in Science or Mathematical field preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Experience in statistical analysis preferred.

Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years experience is required for appointment atthe senior level.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational and management skills
- Strong Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint are required
- Ability to take responsibility to meet deadlines and be proactive and initiate and complete tasks
- Strong work ethic to conduct research responsibly
- Ability to plan organize lead and manage projects with deadline

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
- Basic skills in software such as STATA, R and/or Python are a strong plus
