Project Manager (Education)

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Product Operations and Project Management you will join a team of passionate staff who are playing their part in making sure that we are delivering outstanding outcomes for students.

The Project Manager is responsible for the management and execution of product development projects across Australia and New Zealand operations. This role will manage product, project budgets, timelines and teams to ensure the successful design, development and roll out of Hybrid, Blended and Online (HBO) products. Importantly, this role will be able to guide the Product Innovation team academic staff and shared service divisions through the product design, development and roll out process. This role will be responsible for Business Case and Capital Investment Plan (CIP) development, approval and tracking of the product development process to meet set timelines and budgets.

On a typical day in this role you will:

  • Define and document project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Plan, schedule and document project timelines and milestones and track tasks
  • Account manage product development in collaboration with various verticals and products as assigned to create, build and maintain a positive client service relationship across all relevant stakeholders
  • Project manage a team to develop Hybrid, Blended and Online (HBO) products and subjects
  • Liaise with key stakeholders in the analysis, scoping, planning and scheduling of projects, as aligned with the Product Strategy.
  • Recruit, contract and manage Subject Matter Experts (SME), to fulfil the roles including content writers and academic reviewers, and external vendors as required per project.

  • This is a Full-time Fixed Term position to 07/2021 based in Flexibly/WFH

    Who are you?
    To be successful in the Project Manager position you will have:

  • Experience managing projects in a Vocational or Higher Education setting
  • The ability to work under pressure and be adaptable to achieve deadlines within a highly dynamic project environment
  • Well developed interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to influence and drive other team members and stakeholders
  • Proven experience in identifying issues and proposing solutions in a dynamic and unstructured environment
