Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities

• Consult with faculty, staff and students to gather business requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to build and maintain high-quality and high-performance software to meet business needs.
• Write clean, highly secured code using . NET Traditional and .Net Core frameworks and C# programming language.
• Adopt and follow best practices, pre-defined development models and standards to develop web pages, core components and common services.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by writing documentation, diagrams and code comments throughout the software development life cycle ( SDLC ).
• Serve as an expert on business applications and processes and be prepared to provide proactive and ad-hoc technical support.

Minimum Hiring Standards

• Proven experience as a C# . NET Developer or Application Developer.
• Proven experience with ASP . NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller ( MVC )).
• Proven experience with JavaScript, jQuery and HTML5/CSS3.
• Strong requirements gathering, systems analysis, design and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to listen and understand user needs and requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately information, ideas and instructions both verbally and in writing.
• Bachelors degree in business information systems, computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Hiring Standards

• Working knowledge of client side libraries such as Angular JS, React etc.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with DevOps and understanding of their practices.
• Experience in ETL development using SSIS .
• Experience in reports development using SSRS .
• Experience in technical writing, QA/testing and systems training.
