The position will be for a laboratory manager position. This will involve daily maintenance of the lab, ordering of supplies, and maintenance of compliance documentation. The primary role of the position is to maintain the mouse colony. This involves setting up breedings, weaning and tailing mice, genotyping, and general husbandry. The candidate may also be involved in sacrificing animals for histology via intracardial perfusion, sectioning brains, and performing immunofluorescence procedures.

Required Qualifications

This position requires an BS or MS in a biological sciences discipline. Experience handing mice and genotyping is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with sectioning mouse brains. A fundamental understanding of neuroscience and mouse neuroanatomy. Experience with immunofluorescence procedures, including mounting sections, and imaging brain sections with wide field or confocal microscopy.
