Coordinator - CE/Student Success

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Concurrent Enrollment, the Concurrent Enrollment Student Success Coordinator supports concurrent enrollment students and instructors to enhance academic success. The position collaborates closely with the concurrent enrollment events specialist, advisors and student success advocates across campus to ensure students have a first-class concurrent enrollment experience and that they understand and take advantage of appropriate completion pathways, both in academic and CTE courses. The position is also responsible for developing, measuring and tracking completion of new instructor training and professional development for HSCE teachers in alignment with NACEP accreditation standards, including development of online opportunities with the Office of Teaching and Learning. The position collaborates with the events specialist to organize professional development events throughout the year, schedules annual meetings with department chairs, and ensures that departments across campus make the required contact with high school instructors. The position is also responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of and enhancing professional development by reseaching, analyzing and implementing best practices. The position facilitates the Concurrent Enrollment Advisory Committee and under the supervision of the Concurrent Enrollment Director, takes their ideas from inception to execution, to enhance student engagement and success in the Concurrent Enrollment program.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Experience working with high school age students, particularly underrepresented populations and nontraditional students.
  • Experience working with high school teachers and university faculty.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage several diverse projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor and colleagues to implement the division’s strategic plan, goals, and innovations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the COED marketing team, students, faculty, student affairs partners and high school partners to identify and achieve outreach goals.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to gather data and evaluate effectiveness of interventions.
