The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants holding a master’s degree, DNP or PhD in nursing with recent experience in inpatient nursing care and a high-level of clinical expertise to fill a 9 month, full-time, non-tenure track 1.0 FTE Lecturer/Clinical Assistant position, focused on the BSN program. Major responsibilities of this position include teaching introductory and advanced medical-surgical nursing content in the clinical setting, simulation center, classroom and online. Other duties include maintaining clinical expertise including credentials appropriate to specialty and teaching responsibilities, participating in clinical scholarship/research, participation in faculty meetings, serving on faculty committees and providing service to the university, community and profession of nursing.

This position is located in Gainesville, FL and may have occasional travel to Jacksonville, FL. This is not a remote or online faculty position.

As part of UF Health, the University of Florida academic health center, the College of Nursing collaborates with five other health-related colleges and the UF Health family of hospitals, as well as clinical partners across the state, such as the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System.

Archer Family Health Care is the college’s comprehensive nurse-managed health care center. Faculty members provide primary care and psychiatric/mental health services to underserved adults, children and families in Alachua County and surrounding areas. The College’s active faculty practice offers opportunities for interdisciplinary work and leadership in other nurse-managed practices as well.

Faculty members have opportunities for collaborations in research and scholarship with 16 colleges and 16 multidisciplinary institutes across the University of Florida as well as collaborations within our clinical health system. The College is also a partner in UF’s Center for Translational Science Institute (CTSI).

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in nursing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience preferred. A beginning record of clinical scholarship preferred.
