The business administration division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA is seeking an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in strategic management or a related field and demonstrate a genuine interest in teaching undergraduate students in an institution committed to the liberal arts. While strategy will be the main teaching assignment, the ability to teach in other management areas such as entrepreneurship, international management, organizational behavior, or nonprofit management is strongly preferred. Candidates are expected to complete all requirements for the degree before the date of appointment, which begins August 1, 2021. A documented research interest in management is required. Preference will be given to candidates with practical and teaching experience.

The business program at Seaver College is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The division offers Bachelor of Science degree programs in accounting, business administration, and international business, and a contract major in finance. Degree programs are offered on a full-time, residential basis at the campus in Malibu, California.  As a premier Christian liberal arts college, Seaver College has a diverse student body of approximately 3,200 students.  US News and World Report ranks both Pepperdine University and our undergraduate business program as the 50th best in the country.  College Factual ranks our business administration and our international business degree programs as 7th and 5th best in the country, respectively.  Our classes are small (rarely more than 25 students) and our faculty is collegial, collaborative, and research active.
