Position Summary: The Chief Advanced Practice Professional (APP) is responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of personnel providing adult CT Services utilizing safe, efficient and acceptable methods.

Minimum Qualifications - Nurse Practitioner

- Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.

- National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.

- Licensure or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.

- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

- Department Specific : APRNs requesting to be privileged as First Assists in peri-operative services will be required to complete an ANOR approved CNOR Certificate program and obtain a passing grade on CNOR certification exam.

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) at the discretion of the department.

- Three (3) years of extensive clinical experience with in-depth knowledge of cardiovascular, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology.

Minimum Qualifications - Physician Assistant

- Bachelor’s Degree as a Medical/Surgical (as applicable) Physician Assistant required.

- Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required.

- Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required.

- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the WV Board of Medicine.

- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) at the discretion of the department.

- Three (3) years of extensive clinical experience with in-depth knowledge of cardiovascular, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology.
