Instructional Support Technologist I

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
The Office of Teaching and Learning is seeking an Instructional Support Technologist I. This role supports the learning technologies of online and hybrid course delivery; assists and trains online and hybrid faculty with course updates and maintenance of HTML coded course materials in the learning management system; utilizes quality assurance, accessibility, and course design tools to maintain the pedagogical and technological quality of flexible offerings; and partners with academic department chairs to facilitate semester readiness and currency of flexible offerings to promote student success.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent and 2 years of experience related to the
summary of duties; or Associates degree; or any combination of education and
experience totaling 2 years.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge: Competency in online learning management systems and integrated technologies, including a working knowledge of HTML coding.

Skills: Proficiency in the application of quality assurance and accessibility tools in flexible
offerings.
Commitment to customer service, being team-oriented and working collaboratively in an
academic community.
Consults with departments to facilitate semester readiness and currency of flexible
offerings.
Skill in assisting and training faculty in online technologies with a focus on continually
improving student success in flexible courses.

Abilities: Ability to apply effective interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to assess technical and logistical course related problems and to assist with solutions.
Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group or individuals.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively for both short-term projects and
daily responsibilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records.


Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field


Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a normal office environment.

Pay Range: $30,652 - $38,315
