Assistant Professor of Software Engineering

The School of Natural and Applied Sciences at Franciscan University of Steubenville (FUS) invites applications for both a full-time, tenure-track position and a part-time non tenure-track position in Software Engineering to begin August 2021. FUS is an academically excellent and passionately Catholic university in the Franciscan tradition, located 24 miles west of Pittsburgh International Airport. The successful candidates must possess either a Ph.D., a Masters + 5 years of experience, or the equivalent in Software Engineering or a related discipline at the time of employment.  Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service, and will support the Franciscan Mission of the University.

Preference will be given to candidates who are enthusiastic about developing and teaching courses in Software Engineering, have the ability to develop and support student internships, and have a commitment to support the growth of the Software Engineering program. Ability and willingness to teach courses in math and/or computer science is a plus. Consideration will be given to part-time/half-salary candidates who have the ability to continue working in industry while teaching.
