Position Title: Assistant Professor of Human Performance/Exercise Science

Responsibilities: Northern State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Human Performance/Exercise Science in the Department of Health and Physical Education. Responsibilities include teaching both face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in a learner-centered environment, undergraduate research, mentor graduate students, scholarly activity, and service to the university and community.

Qualifications: Applicants with an earned doctorate in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field are preferred; however, ABDs who will complete their degree before the date of appointment will be considered. The candidate should be able to teach courses in Biomechanics; Nutrition; Exercise Physiology; Motor Learning; Tests and Measurements; and Strength and Conditioning. Candidates must have relevant laboratory experience including Biodex operation, metabolic cart, and EKG equipment. The successful candidate will facilitate the operation of the Human Performance Laboratory. Certification (CEP, CSCS) or professional membership (ACSM, NSCA) is preferred.
