GENERAL SUMMARY

USAHS is looking for product owner to consult with business leads, IT, and management to analyze related business processes and develop solution designs around business needs incorporating configurable solutions while minimizing custom development; identify and document requirements, business objectives, current operational processes, and risks.
The Product Owner (PO) is a member of one or more Agile Teams and is responsible for defining user stories, creating data flows, and prioritizing the backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities. The PO has a role in quality control and user testing and is empowered to accept stories as done. Prior experience working within PMO environment, providing inputs to feature/product roadmaps and Agile experience a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage product feature identification and backlog on a regular basis to ensure that priorities adhere to the strategic direction.
• Work collaboratively with the business, application development, and PMO to define and roll out features defined in product roadmap.
• Communicating changes or priority shifts to cross-functional teams, escalating any issues that could impact the budget, timeline, or strategic vision.
• Performing current and future state analyses, business process reengineering, business process mapping and modeling, and business risk assessment
• Preparing and delivering recommendations to executive management and technical staff
• Eliciting, documenting, analyzing, and validating business and functional requirements.
• Eliciting client requirements and performing analyses to assess opportunities in terms of cost savings, improved service levels, and increased operational efficiencies
• In depth knowledge in Illustration, validation, and documentation of requirements.
• Process improvement methodologies
• Experience with dealing and working with External customers.
• Experience in Business requirements both functional and nonfunctional.
• Extensive knowledge and application across the principles of Business Analysis (e.g., Business Analysis Body of Knowledge). Strong writing skills.
• Knowledge of and experience applying the principles of Project Management.
• Experience with Enterprise Services Management projects that involve concepts such as: IT Service Management Lifecycle (ITSM): Strategy, Design, Transition, and Operations; IT Governance: defining, designing, and implementing

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with other IT and business partners to support business and technical solutions.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

TECHNICAL, MANAGERIAL & PEOPLE SKILLS REQUIRED

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors’ Degree in Business or Communications.
• A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in the technology field
• 5 or more years of technical product or business analysis.
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills); ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiatives
• Experience working with CRM, Jira, Salesforce, MS Teams and Trello
• High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Experience in all phases of the development lifecycle to include supporting testing, including functional, regression, user acceptance, integration, and performance to verify the client’s needs are met.
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of project management concepts and principles.
• Solid skills in process documentation including creation of diagrams.

TRAVEL

Travel required up to 10% to local US campuses

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.
