Basic Function and Responsibility:
Provide administrative and office support services to the HR department in addition to helpful guidance for HR customers including administrators, faculty, staff, and community members. Exercise discretion in the handling of confidential records and knowledge. Appropriately apply established policies and procedures with escalation to applicable HR team member.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure successful interactions
with internal and external customers. Greet and assist visitors
in-person, HR office main phone line & fax, and HR email
including answering basic questions, gathering and giving
materials, escalating to a HR team member, or directing visitor to
a different department.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team and Managers.
Support includes, but is not limited to, coordinating HR email
inbox, recording/retrieving information in the Human Resources
Information System (HRIS) database, scheduling meetings,
coordinating the gathering of employee documents, and assisting
with unique projects.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for Title IX
- Respond to and escalate inquiries, problems, and complaints
from the College community.
- Understand College policies, bargaining agreement, contracts,
etc. and provide basic support to employees and HR
- Organize and maintain personnel files and confidential records.
Exercise discretion in application of handling all confidential
materials and knowledge.
- Perform other job related duties as directed.
- Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of training and
- Three years administrative and office support experience is
required. Experience in a higher education and/or a Human Resources
- A high level of interpersonal and communication skills and the
ability to deliver services in an environment where there is an
emphasis on customer service is required. Ability to interact
professionally and tactfully with people of different levels of
education, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences, and to
exhibit an high level of respect to fellow employees and the
College community at large.

- Ability to effectively use several means of digital
communication including documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, and

proficiency with Microsoft Office software is preferred.
Proficiency with Google suite preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a general office environment and is sedentary in nature. Little or no exposure to adverse working conditions.
Functional supervision is received from the Executive Assistant to the CHRO / HR Office Manager. Administrative supervision is received from the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Assistance with the functional supervision of student employees may be required.
HOURS: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
