The University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology is recruiting a full-time faculty member for appointment at the Assistant Professor rank (without tenure due to funding), on the clinician/scholar pathway, with an annual service period of 12 months (July 1-June 30). This position would be based at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) in Seattle. The selected candidates would see patients, teach, and build a related research program in nonmalignant hematology.  Potential areas of research focus include sickle cell, hemostasis/thrombosis, geriatric hematology, cytopenias, immunohematology marrow failure, and transfusion. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date is February 2021.

Qualifications

The selected candidate must have an MD (or foreign equivalent) and subspecialty training in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
