The TSU SHAPE Initiative: CHANGE (Change through Healing, Awareness, Networks, and Gateways to Empowerment) program is a grant-funded university and community-based partnership established to increase engagement in care for racial and ethnic minorities with substance use or co-occurring disorders who are also at-risk for HIV, Hepatitis and/or HIV positive. Under general supervision, this position will coordinate all program/project operations including design, production and management of program/project materials, required university and federal deliverables, reports, workshops, community engagement initiatives and partnerships.

This is a Grant funded position.

Essential Duties Summary

• Implements and maintains accountability for program/project clinical and non-clinical operations consistent with its institutional and federal obligations.
• Coordinates all aspects of program design, to include but not limited to, program/project materials, required university and federal deliverables, reports, workshops, community engagement initiatives and partnerships.
• Leads, coordinates and supervises program/project team operations to successfully reach approved goals ensuring information reaches relevant internal and external constituents.
• Conducts in-person and/or virtual HIV and Hepatitis-C testing.
• Delivers clinical assessments, diagnoses, care plan integration and supporting case management services for all program participants diagnosed with substance use/co-occurring disorders that are also at risk for HIV, Hepatitis-C, substance use and mental health.
• Assists with program/project recruitment and participate in external and community activities to recruit program participants.
• Compiles, monitors, utilizes and maintains accurate program/project data to maximize operations with bi-weekly and monthly internal team reporting.
• Assists the Principal Investigator and Evaluator with the submission of monthly and annual federal reporting.
• Engages in routine communication with direct supervisor about program/project operations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range $48,273.00 - $60,341.00 Education

Graduate of an accredited Master of Social Work program ( MSW ) .

Required Licensing/Certification

• Currently active license as a Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW ) in the State of Texas.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with personal transportation. Position may require frequent local travel.
• Must be able to attend annual grantee meeting in Washington, DC.

Work Experience

A minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in the social service sector.

Preferred:
A minimum of 1-year paid or volunteer experience working with HIV / AIDS and/or substance using populations.
Fluent in Spanish.
