Assistive Technology Consultant


Location: Off Campus Location - Moscow off campus

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Idaho AT Project, Director, this position evaluates, maintains and supports the assistive technology resource libraries; implements outreach; maintains statewide information and referral system for the Project; and coordinates statewide reutilization or reuse programs of assistive technology devices maintained by the Idaho Assistive Technology Project. Serves as primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituencies, often on complex and confidential issues. Completes Project goals and objectives related to the provision of statewide and comprehensive assistive technology demonstration, device loaning, conducts statewide assistive technology consultations/assessments, and conducts public awareness and training presentations.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.

3-Years’ Work-Related Experience-
Experience:
• Using, demonstrating and providing training on the use of assistive technology;
• Developing and editing informational or training materials;
• Working in a customer service environment;
• Collecting and compiling information for use in reports;
• Balancing multiple projects with competing deadlines;
• Supporting other staff and administration;
• Using computers and software for word processing, email, internet searches, and data organization;
• Work evenings and weekends as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in related field
5-Years Work-Related Experience
Experience:
• Conducting AT consultations or assessments;
• Working with individuals with disabilities in an employment and/or community setting;
• Working with assistive technology devices and lending library policies and procedures;
• Organizing and developing participant informational materials for events such as name tags, booklets, signage, demographic information;
• Purchasing, processing invoices, and maintaining resources;
• Collecting, compiling and analyzing data into technical reports;
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisor;
• Working collaboratively organizations or outside agencies.
