Clinical Assistant Professor of Biology

Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology

 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor of Biology faculty position in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology beginning January 2021.

 

The major responsibility of the position is to serve as a departmental coordinator for the organismal introductory biology course and laboratory at the University. Coordinator responsibilities include taking a leadership role in curricular, instructional, and assessment decisions related to the courses and serving as a support to full time and part time faculty members and graduate student teaching assistants. Additional responsibilities include teaching the coordinated lecture and lab courses each semester and engaging in service to the Department, University, and/or the general and professional communities.

 

The minimum qualification is an earned doctorate in organismal, ecological, or evolutionary biology or a related field from an accredited institution or its foreign equivalent. Candidates for this position must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and student success and have experience teaching an introductory level biology course that focuses on organismal, ecological, and evolutionary biology.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience, or will demonstrate the potential for, working collaboratively with faculty and mentoring students from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and academic backgrounds. Candidates with leadership experiences are encouraged to apply.
