Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering Technology faculty position in the Department of Engineering Technology beginning January 2021.

 

The primary responsibilities for the position include teaching and service work with an emphasis on enhancing the teaching mission of the Department.

 

The appointment is for 9-months but has the possibility of teaching opportunities in the summer. The teaching load is nine courses per academic year (fall and spring semesters). Courses are taught on the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University and are offered during daytime and evening hours. Faculty are expected to teach in a variety of instructional modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.

 

Candidates must have earned a master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. An earned doctoral degree in engineering or closely related field, or its foreign equivalent, is preferred. Significant relevant work experience, college level teaching, and online teaching are pluses.

 

The ideal candidate should have an area of specialization in engineering design graphics, mechanics, welding, machining, and/or manufacturing.

 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Industry experience and/or Professional Engineering license.
  • Experience teaching in various instructional modalities.
