Responsibilities:
The COVID Testing (Collection) Operations Manager will be responsible for the efficient, compliant operations of all COVID Testing (Collection) sites on our Boston campus. This includes effective communications within multiple Northeastern operational teams, effective integration of practices across all testing sites, and administrative management of operational quality for our COVID-19 Testing (Collection) operations.

This is an 12-month term position with the possibility of renewal depending on funding and business need.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration or equivalent (Masters preferred). Four to six years of experience required.
  • Experience in human sample collections
  • Experience in and daily management / oversight of diagnostics or lab testing sites
  • Demonstrated good judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Experience supervising teams
  • Clinical or public health background strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in managing different sites in a healthcare environment
  • Effective, demonstrated communication skills in listening, addressing concerns or issues, and following through in providing leadership under high stress circumstances
  • Experience in continuous improvement of new operations preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly, professional and respectful manner
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Comfort and confidence in managing and reporting operational metrics related to budget, inventory, forecast changes (expected tests), compliance reporting
  • Comfortable with “rolling up sleeves” and filling in for Site Managers on occasion
  • Ability and desire to mentor and effectively lead Site Managers to own and develop Northeastern's COVID-19 testing site mission and overall community impact
