Program Director, Engineering
The School of Physical and Applied Sciences at Indiana Wesleyan University on the traditional, residential campus, is seeking the inaugural Program Director for an undergraduate general engineering program with potential mechanical and electrical concentrations. This individual has the opportunity to develop a unique Christ-centered undergraduate engineering program at an institution that is committed to innovative approaches for the education and training of future engineers. Candidates should show a willingness to collaborate with other campus programs, including art and design, as well as a desire to emphasize student thriving and inclusive excellence.
Ideal candidates will show evidence of a personal faith in Jesus Christ, comfort with the Wesleyan perspective, and a commitment to liberal learning as well as a fully integrated life of faith and work, embracing God’s purpose individually and collaboratively. Applicants who bring diverse ethnic, racial and gender perspectives to their scholarship and teaching are especially encouraged to apply.
PhD preferred. Applicants who are ABD or who have a master’s degree with previous experience in higher education will be considered.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development and supervision of engineering program curriculum according to ABET accreditation standards
Engage in teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate majors on the residential Marion, Indiana campus

Candidates with practical experience in engineering with teaching experience are preferred
Experience with ABET accreditation standards preferred
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to combined engaged teaching with scholarly endeavors
