Merrimack College is a selective, private college in a beautiful, residential setting — just minutes from Boston, Massachusetts.

Position Overview: The Department of Visual and Performing Arts invites applications for an adjunct position teaching the course Creating Information Graphics. This course is an interdisciplinary course between the program of Graphic Design and the Department of Data Science. Individuals should be interested in working within an exciting, growing academic environment, with a contemporary perspective on graphic design, data science, and data visualization. Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis, but there is immediate need for spring 2021.

Qualifications:

  • MFA, MA, PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Graphic Design, Statistics, Data Science or closely related field by contract start date

  • Thorough knowledge of discipline’s contemporary processes, theory, criticism, and technologies

  • College-level teaching experience, or other teaching experience that is equivalent

  • Professional demonstration of excellence in Graphic Design, Information Design and Data Visualization
