Job Summary
The position of assistant dean of counseling provides strategic leadership, management and vision for the Counseling Center. Responsibilities include the hiring, supervision and evaluation of the program’s faculty and staff, the operation of the center and ensuring the effectiveness of the campus-wide student success mission.
Required Qualifications
-Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
-Minimum of three years counseling
-Knowledge of current trends, regulations, and issues in higher education pertaining to counseling and academic advising.
-Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience in counseling at JCCC.
-Minimum of three years of college leadership experience.
-Experience in strategic planning and implementation of short and long-term goals
