Position Available:  Director of Institutional Research

Appointment Date:  Upon hiring.

Responsibilities:  This position provides academic data support including writing Infomaker reports and queries; completing required institutional reporting (e.g. Clearinghouse, IPEDS, MDHE); validating data; and assuring that institutional academic data is accurate.  Works independently and possesses effective organizational and time management skills.  Works with data providers in other areas in fulfilling both internal and external requests for institutional data.  This position provides oversight for all institutional data reporting and provides oversight for the work of the Institutional Research Office Associate.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in a field with strong technical skills.  Master’s degree preferred.  Minimum of four years’ experience working in an academic support office in a higher education environment.  Experience working with an ERP system is required with preference given to a candidate with experience working with academic and institutional data and reporting.  Preference will be given to a candidate with strong skills in using a report-writing tool to extract data from a SQL environment and who can assist with data analyses.  Candidates must have a strong organizational skills, be able to assure accuracy of data with strong attention to details, have strong problem solving abilities, and provide a positive customer service orientation.
