Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Accounting

Grove City College invites applications for a full-time accounting faculty position in the Department of Accounting & Finance beginning in January or July 2021 pending final budget approval. This position will teach principles of accounting as a part of the departmental team and at least one or two upper-level accounting classes each semester. The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and effectiveness in teaching auditing courses and will have prior professional auditing experience. A Ph.D. or D.B.A in Accounting is preferred, and a Master’s degree along with professional certification (such as CPA or CMA) is the minimum qualification required to apply. (A J.D. along with a CPA will also be considered.) Salary commensurate with qualifications.

Grove City College’s Business Program is accredited by ACBSP and includes three separate academic departments: Accounting and Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Management and Marketing.  The business program houses nine major programs of study, twelve minors, sixteen faculty, and approximately 500 students.  GCC accounting students are highly motivated.  One way in which this can be seen is through the consistency of the CPA examination pass rates for GCC’s accounting graduates.  GCC students were number two in the state of Pennsylvania and ninth in the nation for medium-sized schools in CPA pass rates in 2018.
