The McDermott Library at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) seeks candidates for the newly created position of Instructor of Library Assessment and Research. This librarian will plan and coordinate library assessment initiatives for collections and services, teach information literacy focusing on STEM disciplines, and play a role in collection development of STEM resources to support the Academy‘s cadets and faculty. USAFA, located just north of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is an undergraduate institution dedicated to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become officers and leaders of character in United States Air Force. Reporting to the Associate Director of Public Services at the McDermott Library, the Instructor of Library Assessment and Research will develop, design, and help implement assessment programs for library instruction, library collections, and library services in line with the library’s strategic plan. This librarian will work as a member of the Public Services team, which consists of the reference, circulation, and systems branches.
