Job Description:
The Textbook & Course Related Supplies Manager will be responsible for the course materials purchasing process including the marketing, management, & merchandising of these areas. This position includes forecasting of all course materials, credit reconciliation of returns, invoice reconciliation, and overall high service levels to the students and faculty. This position will also be responsible for managing staff in operations of the college bookstore.

This position includes forecasting of all course materials, credit reconciliation of returns, invoice reconciliation, and overall high service levels to the students and faculty. This position will also be responsible for managing staff in operations of the college bookstore.
Essential Functions of this position include:
- Forecasting of all course materials by obtaining the faculty requirements & working with each department for each semester.
- Responsible for the outcome of part-time course related supply buyer and receiving manager (dual report to director).
- Utilizing sales history and previous enrollments to determine accurate order placement & maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Purchasing & sourcing of course materials efficiently & cost effectively through software systems.
- Merchandising of textbooks & course related supplies.
- Maintaining strong communication levels with all college faculty, departments, and students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related fields
- Higher Education experience preferable
- 1-3 years purchasing/retail experience with inventory management ability
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, administration and staff
- Strong computer skills w/ability to navigate multiple software programs
- Strong communication & negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, detailed and organized
- Ability to work flexible retail hours
