Purpose of Position
Serves as the University’s senior business analyst for analytics and reporting as well as the internal consultant to SAP project team members on the functional configuration and support maintenance of SAP systems modules with an emphasis on the reporting and analytic modules. Defines, documents, and maintains standards and best practices for SAP systems that fall within assigned area.
Performs functional configuration tasks for the SAP enterprise reporting and analytics modules to satisfy requests from end users for fixes, changes, and enhancements.
Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems, and ensures that the system designs fits the needs of the users.
Troubleshoots problems with the SAP enterprise reporting and analytics modules after upgrades and other functional configuration changes have been created and makes changes in configurations to resolve errors.
Meets with internal stakeholders to discuss the design, functional configuration, testing and maintenance of SAP assigned modules to ensure optimal system performance.
Defines and documents SAP enterprise reporting and analytics configurations.
No specific major is required. Experience with business intelligence platform tools such as SAP HANA, SAP business objects, tableau, SAP business warehouse, Cognos, Watson Analytics, Qlikview, Microstrategy is desired. Familiarity with methodologies like predictive analytics, agile development, software development life cycle, user interface design, big data, etc would be a plus.
