Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Imaging Department within Information Technology is currently recruiting for an Imaging Systems Analyst. The Imaging Systems Analyst is responsible for using supported technologies in the management of the Imaging system infrastructure. To collaboratively review the structure of the imaging platform and how it interfaces with corresponding university applications.

The Imaging Systems Analyst position is highly technical and directly impacts the function of the Imaging system and utilizes such support technologies as: Oracle Webcenter Content, Capture, BAM, BPM Composer and other toolsets like Oracle Weblogic, JDeveloper, BPMN, Microsoft SharePoint and SQL.

This position requires a strong communicator with a team-player attitude that will serve both as an individual contributor and leader on various projects. When leading projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle and ensuring the quality and timeliness of all deliverables. This position will coach other team members requiring assistance in solving complex problems.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Support the University's centralized imaging model
  • Work with business users to define business requirements, functional design and testing documentation
  • Convert business documentation into technical design documents to develop and implement an imaging/workflow solution
  • Configure and build new solutions to address business problems
  • Manage projects and tasks to ensure goals and objectives are completed on time
  • Support and maintain Imaging system functionality and interfaces
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting for all Imaging systems using such tools as : Oracle Enterprise Manager and other utilities to reference operational data and offer solutions
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to solve technical issues
  • Analyze imaging applications, workflows, reports and integrations for updates to enhance daily productivity goals and future system upgrades
  • Assist in defining Imaging standards for workflow design and imaging application creation
  • Coach or mentor other staff requiring assistance solving complex problems
  • Review short/long term technology plans. Keep an informed overview of technology trends, especially those trends directly relating to Imaging and a higher educational platform


Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or GED require; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Developer Application with knowledge of Oracle Middleware a plus
  • Good organizational and problem solving skills

  • High level of computer literacy (basic technology principles) as well as in applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database, electronic mail, and Internet)
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of co-workers, staff, students and faculty

  • Provide excellent customer service to students, co-workers, staff, and faculty

  • Excellent communication in a variety of methods with strong customer service experience including documentation and training skills are essential
