The Office of Strategic Engagement ( OSE ) within VCU’s School of Education seeks to hire a project consultant for equity related projects. The Project Consultant will work with the OSE administrative team to provide oversight for the development of professional learning course modules and training materials. Current projects include the development of an antiracist educator seminar series and culturally responsive practice seminars.

- Creating and managing project timelines
- Preparing reports and updates for administrative team
- Setting goals and objectives; evaluating project outcomes
- Assisting with research to better inform project goals
- Assisting with management of project budget
- Reviewing and editing project related content
- Collaborating with instructional designer, curriculum developer, and research assistants to streamline processes
- Performing other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree in education or related discipline such as Curriculum Development, Administration or Project Management
- Demonstrated instructional experience including the facilitation of workshops and profession training
- Solid understanding of administration and instructional methodology within an academic environment
- Demonstrated capabilities of successful planning, developing, and executing multiple projects and assignments
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups including faculty, administrators, instructional designers, content developers, and professional learning facilitators
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to collaborate and motivate others
-Technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related G-Suite tools
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a employee at VCU .

Preferred Qualifications

- An advanced degree in education or related discipline such as Curriculum Development, Administration or Project Management
- Minimum three (3) years leadership or consulting experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of current instructional theories and principles such as Critical Race Theory and Culturally Relevant Pedagogy and Practice
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, process mapping, process improvement, and/or budget management
- Familiarity with learning platforms such as Blackboard, Canvas, and Articulate 360
