Assistant Professor Psychology - Cognitive/Neuroscience

The Department of Psychology at Lycoming College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Cognitive Neuroscience or Cognitive Psychology to begin July 2021.  Lycoming College is a liberal arts college located in north central Pennsylvania (http://www.lycoming.edu) and offers both Psychology (BA, BS) and Neuroscience Majors and Minors.  Faculty members teach three courses a semester, with typical class sizes of 10 to 30 students.  The successful applicant will teach Introductory Psychology, Research Methods, and an upper-level laboratory class in Cognitive Psychology/Neuroscience.  Additional courses can be taught based on applicant preference.

The successful applicant will have clear evidence of high-quality teaching, a commitment to liberal arts education, and the ability to establish a research program and supervise undergraduate research.  A Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience or Cognitive Psychology is preferred, but ABD’s in their final stages of completion will also be considered.
