Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Student Accounts & Cashier Services Office ( SACO ) is responsible for student billing as well as receiving and posting student accounts receivable payments and departmental receipts. SACO strives to provide timely and courteous service to students, parents, alumni, and the university community.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Cashier position will process and post student accounts receivable payments and departmental receipts.
This position will:
•Reconcile daily receipts to administrative cash receipting reports
•Verify all transaction documentation
•Prepare the daily bank deposit
•Maintain university bank accounts and certification of state treasurer wires and transfers
•Support the Lead Cashier and Cashier Supervisor in the processing of e-commerce transactions
•Communicate policies and procedures with university community
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
Ability to multi-task in a high volume/fast paced environment
Ability to research and resolve student account inquiries in a timely manner
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Calculator speed and accuracy needed
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Requires general understanding of accounting and banking relationships
Three years of banking and/or cash handling experience
Two years of customer service experience
Strong data entry and calculator skills
Knowledge of general university operations; policies and procedures must be understood and practiced
Required Certifications or licensure
$31,200 - $32,000
1.0 (40 hours per week)
