West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology and the WVU Cancer Institute, are actively recruiting a Community and Outreach Physician within our Hematology/Oncology section. The successful candidate will have the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center in Morgantown, West Virginia as the primary practice site. This position will also practice and provide coverage at all WVU Cancer Institute satellite locations and WVU Medicine Health System locations as needed. Work sites include but are not limited to West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc., West Virginia University Medical Corporation dba 'University Health Associates', etc., locate din WV, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, and as such travel is anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these other sites. Enrollment of patients in clinical and translational research is a core institutional value supported by an excellent cancer clinical trials unit.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of hematology/oncology. This position requires travel to satellite locations, clinics, and affiliates to assist with hematology/oncology coverage to provide consistent, high-quality patient care. In addition, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required.

Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain a West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship and be board eligible or board certified in hematology and/or oncology at the time of appointment. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials.
